Romeo, Romeo Where Art Thou Romeo
Romeo is truly a charmer. Who can't love that face? Well, Romeo is one lucky dachshund that was rescued by the Dachshund Rescue of South Florida (DRSF). The saga is quite long. First his original adoptive parents from the shelter rejected him when they realized he had kennel cough. Luckily that is when DRSF swooped to Romeo's rescue. Unfortunately, Romeo was not well immunized and subsequently contracted Canine Distemper. It was really touch and go. At DRSF they though he was headed to the Rainbow Bridge. Romeo did survive, but has now suffered some probable permanent neurological damage that has left him weak and paralyzed behind. Fortunately, a DRSF volunteer had an older K-9Cart.com dog wheelchair for Romeo to try out. While it did not fit quite right, the folks at DRSF knew that a K-9 Cart was what Romeo needed. So DRSF contained us about a canine cart and we were thrilled to help. Read on to see Romeo's first video...

There are still a few more adjustments that they need to have Romeo's canine cart adjusted perfectly, but he is off and running now. The people at Dachshund Rescue of South Florida are to be complimented for all they do. Please help support this great organization.
