- Are your carts adjustable?
Good fitting begins with the accuracy of measurements you provide. (Please refer to our measuring instructions.) Adjustability in width, height, and length are provided since we understand how difficult it is to measure your disabled pet exactly. A properly adjusted cart is essential to provide balance while in your K9 Cart. When properly fitted, our carts should never lead to pressure sores. We offer custom measuring and fitting at our shop in Oxford, MD at no extra charge. Should you not be able to come to our shop, we highly recommend sending digital photos (including top, side and front) of your pet in the new dog wheelchair to evaluate your fit. Please call with questions to help us with any fitting problems. - What if I buy a cart and it does not fit my pet?
Proper fit of your cart start with accurate measurements. There is nothing more discouraging than either producing or receiving a cart that is not usable due to poor measurements. Please take the time to be accurate as possible—call for help if needed. Much of our recent redesigning has been directed at enhancing adjustability. Width, height, and length are adjustable on all our K-9 Cart dog wheelchairs allowing for some error. Should you receive your dog cart and find that one or more measurement is so far off that you cannot increase or decrease the width, height, or length, this can be easily corrected by exchanging components, if necessary.
- Will my pet get sores from using a cart?
No! Sores should not occur in a properly fitted cart. If they should occur, they are almost always related to excessive movement in the cart due to poor adjustment(s) in height, length, or width. Undersized leg rings can be widened or additional padding added, if needed. Please bring to our attention by phone, email, or fax, should sores occur in your cart. Digital pictures of the front, side, and top of your pet in your K-9 Cart are especially helpful. We strive to be available to identify and correct the improper fit of any K-9 Cart.
